Samsung Performing Arts Theater

My "it's ok" rating has to do with the fact that the acoustics of this place aren't good for choral concerts. I guess it wasn't made for that so this is a lopsided review, but that's what I watched here so I'm basing my review on that. Loved the ample basement parking and direct access to the mall (eg, you won't get wet if it's raining), the wide array of food choices, and the tastefully appointed decor. Maybe I'll change my mind after watching a musical or a ballet here. I don't know. I just find it a waste that this theater was built from scratch so they could've made the acoustics better. Anyone building a concert hall that can match the Philam Life Theater's acoustics?

Lovely theater. Excellent surround sounds. New and modern look. Several entrances: outside, ground floor near McDo, & connecting doors from 2nd - 4th floor. Artworks are stunning & gives off a sophisticated feel inside. Has a lounge, gift shop, several elevators, & a few guide maps. Sells snacks inside. Since it's a small theater when compared to CCP or with Araneta coliseum, using an ordinary, outdoor binoculars (tried 100x22 magnification, fully coated optics, 383ft/1000YDS, 3000m/30000m) worked from Balcony 1 at the right edge, not long range, but I doubt that it would work from Balcony 2 well due to distance. A mini outdoor monocular also works when I tried (40x60 magnification, 1500m/9500m) - good to bring your own. The gift shop sells foldable binoculars that looks like a toy for kids, you can also try them but it's flimsy and short range. The balcony 1 right side area where we had a "restricted view" from the front has indeed a restricted view. For a small person, it is impossible to sit down while leaning back if you want to see the stage properly. But if you don't mind leaning forward up to the safety guard throughout the show, then it's a spectacular view because no heads are in front of your view. There's a little blind spot on the right corner behind the wall, but don't think I missed much since the action doesn't go that far off from the center stage. The safety guard feels safe and comfy because it's tall enough and has a flat surface like a table where one could put their elbows on while watching. Helps to have support while using the binoculars. Overall, it's a good place to revisit for future plays or for other entertainment.

Great bustling area. There are lots of food choices and activities within the surrounding area. It was my first time here, we enjoyed the Sound of Music back in March 2023. Interior design is sleek and elegant across each level. You will also find some fantastic artworks if you go through the escalators. The building is also PWD accessible.
